Krshna is just another tiny tot wth a slender body and an innocent face, who is trying to make the ends meet in his family while going to the shcool......he is genuine enough to say that he doesnt require money for fee..i assured him and gave him my telephone number to call him in case of emergency..i wonder if he would ever call me for anything...but i say...honesty is still exisiting... (am sorry i couldnot stop child labour here..i only fought with the owner of the hotel and he asked me to file a police complaint against him)...

well, that's very sad. but i don't see any reason to fight with the hotel owner. after all he's giving him an opportunity to work on his will. otherwise what will that boy do?.. beg??? or starve?..
i knew a boy who used to work... coz he was the only help for his widowed blind mother. she used to get some pension from the govt, but it was hardy some 500 bucks per month.
merely making child-labor illegal will only create more beggars, but won't solve the problem.
But how will u ensure that many such Krishnas keep getting the support for a square meal every day...!??????? nabbing the owner is certainly not a solution! How many mobile numbers will such Krishnas get...from how many people?....
How do we ensure that many such Krishnas keep getting at least a square meal a day? How many Swathis exist to share mobile numbers? HOw will Krishna get the 40 bucks he needs occassionally, if the owner of the hotel stops hiring him?...Tough questions....but how?
very true Swathi, we all know that child labour is a crime but honest boys like krishna, they are not left with any other option, at least i sud appreciate the hotel owner who has given him the oppertunity to work otherwise he wud have involved himself in some or the other kind of crime.
Thats life. phzzz. I feel bad for Krishna but on the other hand he is the earning soul. Unless someone pays for his education and ensures a steady income in lieu nothing will change. But is there a guaranteed job after that?
